The Red Lantern Trading Team consists of professionals with extensive with extensive experience in both trading and investment management. Our Team has an average of 25 years of industry experience and operates across Europe, Asia and Latin America. For confidentiality reasons, the identities of our key team members are shared exclusively with our clients and partners.

How we work with our clients :

Sourcing – Hard & Soft Commodities

We help clients source competitively priced commodities—e.g., steel, aluminium, copper, vanadium, coffee and others. Our suppliers are principally in China, where Red Lantern works with a local partner with on-the-ground presence.

Commodity Purchasing

We hold active mandates to source goods and services. At present, we are actively seeking scrap steel on behalf of clients.

Financing ( via partners )

Through our network, we can introduce clients to attractive trade-finance solutions, including: (i) pre-export finance / working capital, (ii) post-shipment finance (invoice discounting), (iii) insurance-backed financing, (iv) structured commodity finance, and (v) supply chain finance. Hybrid or customised models can be arranged case-by-case.

Hedging Access

We can connect clients with regulated partners to facilitate hedging needs (e.g., metals, FX, and freight).

Carbon & Reporting Support

We support clients with carbon-footprint reporting and with introductions for the purchase/sale of carbon credits (voluntary or compliance markets), including EU-focused carbon-duty/reporting needs.

Can anyone use the services of Red Lantern Trading ?

Yes, the service can be used by anyone, subject to approval and completed KYC and AML checks. Minimum amounts per operation may apply.

How secure is my information ?

We adhere to Swiss data protection requirements, which are considered among the most robust globally.

How long does it take to review my request ?

There is no fixed timeframe, but we aim to give an initial indication within 1-2 weeks. Ideally, a file can be reviewed and a decision given within 4 weeks from start to finish, but this depends on us receiving and validating information requested.

What are the costs associated with using your services ?

The costs depend on several factors, such as whether it is a one-off operation or a longer-term relationship, or the nature of the underlying good or service. In all cases, there is an initial arrangement fee and then a fee applied to any financing, with is given on an APR basis. We tend to operate on a flexible terms basis, so that that any fee terms work best for all parties and best support a successful outcome.

Are operations one-off or can you support a longer term relationship ?

We prefer longer-term relationships and these tend to be the most cost effective for clients. One-off transactions are also welcome and can be a good way to begin a relationship.

Are there any goods or services that you do not support ?

In general, no, we look at each transaction on its own merit. As as long as the documents are robust, collateral and protections are sufficient, we can consider providing support.

What are the limitations to your services ?

We do not provide regulated brokerage or lending services; we arrange introductions and support documentation and execution alongside our partners.
